AESSEAL is the proud winner of two prestigious High Sheriff Awards.
The awards, Regional Apprentice Champion Award and Supporting Employment Opportunities for Women in Engineering and Manufacturing, were presented by the South Yorkshire High Sheriff, Lt Colonel R A McPherson MBE, at a celebration at The Crofts Town Hall in Rotherham on March 7, 2023.
AESSEAL has been recognized as the top manufacturing apprentice provider by the Department for Education in 2022, and furthermore the apprentice intake saw a 50/50 split of Male and Female apprentices in the same year. For several years, AES Engineering has also contributed to Women in Engineering, and in 2022 a donation of £50,000 was made towards the University of Sheffield. A report by Engineering UK demonstrates trends in Women in the Engineering Workforce, and highlights that the UK’s shortage of female engineers, with just over 16.5% of engineering jobs held by women in 2021.
