01.07.08 - If we build it, they will come
Work is well under way on the final phase of development for AESSEAL’s global headquarters in Rotherham, UK.
The £7m ($14m) state of the art facility will be completed by September 2008. The global headquarters will total over 100,000 sq ft of prime space for mechanical seal, system and bearing protection research, development and manufacturing infrastructure.
The development has been designed to complement AESSEAL’s extensive “green” credentials by incorporating living “green” roofs, which will support biodiversity, help filter pollutants from the air and improve insulation.
Rainwater from the roof will also feed into the established on-site wildlife wetlands sanctuary, which was created in 2005. All this, - right in the middle of a busy, exciting and rapidly expanding industrial zone in the centre of the UK.
This development is one of several that will enhance still further AESSEAL’s global service footprint.
In August, AESSEAL Inc will complete a move into a new 40,000 sq ft facility for its USA headquarters, located on 12 acres and costing £2m ($4m).
In October, AESSEAL Pvt. Ltd. will complete the move into a new 76,000 sq ft facility in Pune, India costing a further £1.1m ($2.2m).
On top of this, new and existing regional developments in Houston, The Hague, Moscow and China should position the business well to service the global Oil and Gas industry for future years.
